You're the only road that I know

Clandestine T shirt- Gabriel Brothers, Vintage Pendleton Blazer- Salvation

I love the warm weather; it's going away for a while, but in the meantime, my t-shirt collection and cut off shorts can come out to play. This tee is actually a new addition; it was $3 at Gabes and fits like a dream.

I was really having a phone conversation while shooting these photos. Ha! Even better, with my grandma. You can tell how entertaining the talk was. Ugh. She was giving me flack about the wedding.. again. I love her reuben sandwiches and plan to  mow down at her place to celebrate St. Pattys tomorrow, but I seriously pray it is a peaceful visit.

I don't know what it is about you I need to be around just to feel alive

Here I am at our first apartment in PA and loving all the chaos of settling while becoming accustomed to the adjustments of a new place. So far, it's been great. I have a convenient wall to shoot against in my spacious backyard. I'm just lazing around after I wrapped the first draft of my thesis conclusion and listening to Freelance Whales. They have a great sound and I really enjoy them even though my brain sometimes mistakes them for Owl City.

It's my birthday! And a beautiful outside. Some precipitation was forcasted, but I am so glad it held off. It makes me happy. And so does my thrifted $2.50 Pendleton blazer. I didn't think such a bright color would be flattering but I couldn't pass on this. I came up with several ways to style it and for now, I think I will get a lot of wear out of it.

Let's make time work for us

Thrifted Vintage Hat, BF's Hand me down Tee, Hoodie- Scrapbook, Thrifted Vintage
Blazer- Pendleton, Necklace- DIY, Pants- HM, Bag- Asos, Boots- Dr. Martens
Finally I caught the magic hour for an outfit session. It's been such a beautiful and snow free winter, I can't believe I'm home. It feels so uncharacteristic of this place. I guess I was in the mood to see some of the white stuff and went to see The Grey. It was so insane and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Tim's review was "riveting." Ha! It was one of the best I've seen in a while

If faith should fail us then hope will see us through

Today I got to feed my addiction. I swear shopping is a monkey on my back. At Gabe's I got a handmade sweater and some doh! summer shoes. Now I can cross huaraches off my list. We also went to the 12th St. Sal Val which I haven't visited in years. It is small and has a very eclectic clientele but super unique old stuff. Their record stock is out of this world. I had to tear myself away from buying a sealed $2 box of junk *I mean* accessories. I refrained because it wasn't jewelry like I initially thought. I kind of regret that decision now, but at least I don't feel like someone from Storage Wars. Anyway, I proudly left with only one totally kick ass 80s Odie sweater. Good day had by all.

My first rodeo

This jacket is my first piece of Pendleton, and I surprisingly found it on the east coast. I've picked up two Pendleton jackets since moving back and they were priced so low! I don't think the thrift store knew what they had. In Arizona, they are obviously an in-demand commodity. This sweater is a little kooky, but I love the kitschyness of it and I know I'll have fun wearing it different ways.
