It might get worse than this before it gets better

I think it's safe to say that I love this jacket. I got it a while back and maybe wore it once, but now it is better suited to my current style. I can see myself wearing it with a tight sweater, or bigger polka dots. It reminds me of a bright sunny 50s high school chick and makes me wish for a circle skirt.

We'll take one more step toward easy street

This is what I wore to (finally) see Chronicle. I've been dying to see it since viewing the trailer which looked so un-movie like, it blew my mind. In combination with the stellar reviews, my need grew but we were waiting for our crew to get together so we could all go. By the end, I was speechless- not necessarily the best reaction. I just didn't get the point they were going for. There was so much subtext the film makers left unexplored and it felt rather vapid. Thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless.

I wonder what was that world I was dreaming of

Thrifted Vintage Sweater, Gifted Vintage Pants, Socks- Hue, Shoes- Vans Sophie

Moving to a new apartment has seriously put a damper on my writing productivity. After a straight week of unpacking boxes and still trying to find a place to put things, I sit at my makeshift desk and oh so slowly make the slightest progress. Day by day, the situation improves. I guess I can just be glad to be moving forward.

Not so secret garden

Whew! Today was hectic, running around Tempe tying up loose ends but also enjoying a day out and about to have some last Tempeite experiences. We rode the train, walked around school, and hit up Buffalo Exchange one final time before we move on Tuesday. And on a stunning note, not one thing I wore today was second-hand- a major rarity because I am a cheapskate and thoroughly believe in recycling. Happy Friday and Veterans Day!!

I'm Already Standing on the Edge, so don't Tempt Me

I was really intrigued by the mustard shade trend I kept seeing for this fall. It is such an unusual color; it reminds me of 70s golden harvest appliances. This sweater was given to me by a friend and I was attracted to its blatant fall color- which is totally my flattering seasonal palette. It had a cutesy toddleresque patch which I successfully removed (and kept for a future unknown project). Now I'm psyched to rock one of this season's major styles!
