We headed out to New York to spend time with my fiance's family, making the rounds of everyone we wanted to visit on our trip. It has been absolutely amazing being home and nearing the end of our time here is sad but also motivating for my thesis plight. |

Just take another shot in the dark; don't keep your safety on
I fear the 70s. Not the decade- I've caught reflections of myself today and felt I was a time traveler- but the temperature. It's been so long since I've felt cool weather, and layers are now a must! Ahh, how great it is to have fun with the functionality of clothing: the layers, the materials, and the warmth!

I'm not an island, I've got you
Another clear, beautiful afternoon in my humble home town. I had so much fun cruising around downtown, grabbing a greasy bite at the amazing local pizza spot, and sporting the new shoes I got in town. Even though I should not be spending money, I couldn't pass on these. I bought them at one of my all time favorite chain resale stores, Gabriel Brothers.

Family Wedding
Yesterday was my amazing brother's wedding. It was the first in my immediate family and it was such brilliant celebration. I had the best time seeing everyone and honoring his commitment to his beautiful new bride.

Fall Bliss
Today was my first day home in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, and I could not ask for better weather. The sky is clear; the sun is warm; and the leaves are changing. I did something new when I packed for this trip. I selected only a handful of items for the ten days, then planned different ways to mix and match them. I was so proud of the small space I used in the luggage and happy to see just how many ways I could use the same things to make different outfits.

I Love You Phillip Morris

I love this movie. I've wanted to see it for a long time and finally watched it on my cross country flight back home to Pennsylvania.

This was the photo I always saw when the film was being promoted and I thought it would be super campy, but instead, it is ultra genuine. Some might argue that quality would make this camp, but I don't want to think about those type of round about discussions.

Rather, I was surprised by the subtle way the filmmakers channeled 90s style in telling this story inspired by real people. These striped button downs bring back a lot of memories and are super authentic without being over the top.

I loved the glasses in this movie.

Perm! I love Leslie Mann. She is such a great actress and so funny.

There is one scene in the movie when a man who was helping Stephen doctor some paperwork wore this infamous brand. It really makes me want to sport this retro style, but I know that's the crazy, overly ecclectic part of me thinking. I would probably regret trying to pull that off.
