I wonder what was that world I was dreaming of

Thrifted Vintage Sweater, Gifted Vintage Pants, Socks- Hue, Shoes- Vans Sophie

Moving to a new apartment has seriously put a damper on my writing productivity. After a straight week of unpacking boxes and still trying to find a place to put things, I sit at my makeshift desk and oh so slowly make the slightest progress. Day by day, the situation improves. I guess I can just be glad to be moving forward.

Beautiful things are coming to you

Thrifted Vintage Buttondown, BF's Thrifted Vintage Cardigan, Gifted Belt and
Necklace, Purse- Asos, Jeans- UO, Boots- Dr. Martens

This is what I wore on Mardi Gras. Funny thing about that day is I didn't even realize it was a holiday until I laid down for bed, Gah, it made me so upset because I was so looking forward to indulging in Paczki. It just so happened that I gorged myself on the best Chinese buffet in town- the Imperial Palace. That place makes me oh so glad I live on the east side now. Without even knowing it,my fat day strangely worked out.

I don't know what it is about you I need to be around just to feel alive

Here I am at our first apartment in PA and loving all the chaos of settling while becoming accustomed to the adjustments of a new place. So far, it's been great. I have a convenient wall to shoot against in my spacious backyard. I'm just lazing around after I wrapped the first draft of my thesis conclusion and listening to Freelance Whales. They have a great sound and I really enjoy them even though my brain sometimes mistakes them for Owl City.

Blue Velvet Valentine

BF's Hat- Weatherproof, Thrifted Top- Burberry, Pants- Gabriel Brothers, Purse-
Asos, Boots- Seychelles

Today was the loveliest Valentine's Day. It had just the perfect mix of spontaneous adventure and goals set out to accomplish. We are in the middle of moving again, with plans to be all settled in our new place this week. So we started with some light packing. On the trip from old place to new I spotted a random shop with estate sale signage and the promise of furniture looming out from the windows so we took a peek inside and found the most amazing consignment shop. It had everything imaginable from vintage to modern. Although indistinguishable from the outside, this store was Cambridge's Buttons and Bows which I had recently heard about. This place is a definite must visit.

The day continued with some moving and shopping. Nothing too out of the ordinary which is what I love. Often a big to-do seems to result in more problems than what it ends up being worth. But this nice surprise of a laid back day was just what I needed to reconnect and break from my daily grind.

I'll buy you a mountain; we can be lonely at the top

It's my birthday! And a beautiful outside. Some precipitation was forcasted, but I am so glad it held off. It makes me happy. And so does my thrifted $2.50 Pendleton blazer. I didn't think such a bright color would be flattering but I couldn't pass on this. I came up with several ways to style it and for now, I think I will get a lot of wear out of it.

You're the only place that feels like home

Sweater- Gap, Thrifted Coat- Bitten, Thrifted Belt- DKNY, Thrifted Skirts and
Socks, Purse- Asos, Shoes- Minnetonka

I picked up this skirt on my last thrifting trip a couple weeks ago. I loved its sheerness and that it fit around the waist. When I was putting this outfit together I couldn't find any of my slips so I used this short pleated vintage skirt underneath. The length of the sheer one looks weird on me so I started adjusting it and, voila, realized the underskirt looked nice peeking out from the bottom and tucked the front hem up over the waistline. It was also an easy way to create an asymmetrical hemline.

Let's make time work for us

Thrifted Vintage Hat, BF's Hand me down Tee, Hoodie- Scrapbook, Thrifted Vintage
Blazer- Pendleton, Necklace- DIY, Pants- HM, Bag- Asos, Boots- Dr. Martens
Finally I caught the magic hour for an outfit session. It's been such a beautiful and snow free winter, I can't believe I'm home. It feels so uncharacteristic of this place. I guess I was in the mood to see some of the white stuff and went to see The Grey. It was so insane and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Tim's review was "riveting." Ha! It was one of the best I've seen in a while

McFly

I am just tearing through my thesis and actually have a solid full draft minus an introduction and conclusion. My chair is playing catch up so I am taking the night off to have a couple beers and relax with my love for his birthday.
